The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, November 17, 1964

Funeral services will be Wednesday at Portland, Ore., for Mrs. Myra Welch, 
native Ionian, who moved to that city in 1906.

Mrs. Welch, who is a cousin of several Ionians, was the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Darius Welch, Ionia pioneers.  She died Saturday.  Services are to be at 
the Lincoln Memorial chapel at Portland.

Mr. Welch graduated from Ionia high school in 1900 and had been a frequent 
Ionia visitor.  She attended most Ionia high school reunions and her last 
visit here was at the 1960 reunion.  She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Louis 
Peer of Portland and a brother, Abe Welch.
