The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 17, 1905

Ezekiel S. Welch died at Ann Arbor, at 5 o’clock last evening.  The second 
operation was performed on Tuesday evening.  On Wednesday his condition was 
reported as favorable, but on Thursday he took a turn for the worse.  Remains 
will arrive this evening.
