Welch, 55, died suddenly Friday of a heart attack while visiting at the farm home of his brother-in-law, Eugene Fosburg, a mile south of Clarksville. Survivors are the widow, Dora, and two step-sisters, Mrs. Hazel Riker and Mrs. Elda Jeunker, both of Lansing. For several years he operated a grocery store in Lyons. He later moved to Stanton where he again went in to the grocery business. He retired four years ago and moved to Saranac where they had resided since. He was a member of the Saranac Congregators club. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Morris funeral home in Saranac, with the Rev. Glenn McCarthy officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery in Bushnell township, Montcalm county. Pallbearers will be Asa King, Forrest David, Fred Bowen, Stanley Ayers, Allie Austin and Racie Smith.
