An Ionia Pioneer Dead at Edmore.

Mrs. Elizabeth Welch, 86 years of age died at the home of her son, Ray Welch, in
Edmore, Monday evening after several weeks of poor health.  The body was brought
to Ionia and the funeral services will be held from the home of her nephew,
Judge Royal A. Hawley, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. W.F. Kendrick
officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Welch, widow of the late John W. Welch, was a native of Brantford, Ont.,
but has lived the most of his life in Michigan.  Mr. Welch died eight years ago.

Three sons, Frank, of Easton; Bert, of Houston Texas, and Ray, of Edmore,
survive her.  Also 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
