Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 16 Dec 1953

Funeral services for John R. Welch of Ionia, who died Saturday night at his home
on West Lytle street, were held Tuesday from the Boynton funeral home at 2 p.m.
 The Rev. Keith Goodwin, pastor of the Ionia Methodist Church officiated. 
Interment was at the Easton township cemetery.  Pallbearers were Kenneth
Reynolds of Smyrna, a former neighbor; Roy Edlin, Roy Weber, Willard G. Holly,
Robert Pierce, and John Yenchar, all of Ionia.

Relatives from away attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wells of
Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keith of Wyandotte, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gates, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Welch, and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mackey all of Saranac; and Mr. and
Mrs. John Hanulcik, of Muir.
