Daily Sentinel - Tuesday, May 31, 1915

Mrs. Mary C. Welch, wife of the late Elijah H. Welch, died Sunday at 11 o'clock 
at the home, corner of West Washington street and Kimball alley. The deceased 
suffered a stroke about a week ago, since which time her condition had been 
critical. Mrs. Welch leaves one son, Melborn, who is a resident of Grand 
Rapids. Funeral from the last home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, 
Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
