"PED" WELCH DIED SATURDAY

Funeral services were held in Sunfield, Wednesday afternoon for Perry J. (Ped) 
Welch, Sr., 82, who died in a Lansing hospital Saturday. He was born on the farm 
his father homesteaded southeast of Sunfield. His entire life was spent in the 
community, he having been in the automobile business in Sunfield and Lake Odessa 
several years. About 35 years ago he was associated with W. H. Bennett in the 
sale of Reo automobiles.

Surviving are one son, Ray, at Sunfield, five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Steadman at 
Sunfield, Mrs. Helen Henderlite in Lansing, Mrs. Lucy Stockford in Lake Odessa, 
Mrs. Hazel Crawford in Chicago and Mrs. Ethel Martin at  Dallas, Tex., 13 
grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
