Death was attributed to a heart attack, by coroner Harry Myers, who investigated. Mr. Welch, who resided on a farm two miles southeast of Saranac near the Waterville school was found by his wife Thursday morning. Dr. J.R. Hay, of Saranac, was called, who pronounced him dead. It was believed Mr. Welch died soon after retiring Wednesday night. He had suffered from heart trouble, although remaining active until yesterday. He was born in southern Michigan and is survived by his wife and step-daughter. He came to Saranac from Belding eleven years ago. Funeral services are to be held from the home Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in the Saranac cemetery.
