Aged Pioneer Of Danby Is Buried

Mrs. Malona D. Wellman, pioneer resident of Ionia county, died at her home in 
Danby township last Friday.  Mrs. Wellman had resided on the same farm for over 
60 years and was one of the early settlers honored at the Ionia fair on Pioneers’ 
Day last year.  Funeral services were held at the Mulliken church Monday 
afternoon.  She is survived by a son, Melvin O. Wellman, six grandchildren and 
two daughters, Mrs. Olive Compton, of Saranac, and Mrs. Lillian Hafer, at home.
