The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, November 1, 1990

Portland—Irene E. Wellman, 56, died Oct. 30.  Born in Ionia County on Jan. 26, 
1934, she was the daughter of Edwin and Theresa Hoppes Zimmer.

Surviving are her husband Herman; a son, Roy Wellman of Sheridan; a daughter, 
Sharon Green of Portland; thee grandchildren; her mother, Teresa Zimmer of 
Portland; a brother, Robert Zimmer of Portland; and a sister, Marie Fox of 
Portland.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Neller Funeral Home, with the 
Rev. Julian Reginato of St. Patrick’s Church officiating.  Burial will be in 
Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.  The family will be at the funeral from 2 to 4 p.m. 
and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
