Sentinel-Std. - Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1940

Sylphine A. Wellman, 89 year old Palo resident, died at her home Monday 
morning after an illness of six months duration. Mrs. Wellman had lived in 
Palo for about two years. She was born at Mt. Morris, February 24, 1859.

Surviving are two sons, W. Vinton Wellman of Dallas, Texas, and Grover C. 
Wellman of Palo, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31, from the home at 10:00 
a.m. and from the Grove funeral home in Flint at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. 
Bissett will officiate at the services and interment will be in Flint.
