Belding Banner-News, 2 Feb 1940

Mrs. S. L. Wellman, mother of Grover C. Wellman, passed away at her home here
Monday morning January 29th, after a lingering illness from the infirmities of
age and other complications.  Mrs. Wellman moved to Palo from Flint after the
death of her husband two years ago to be near her son and family during the last
years of her life, being in the eighties.  Funeral services were held Wednesday
and burial will be beside her husband.
