Sentinel-Std. - Saturday, Feb. 22, 1964

Funeral service was held at Greenwood Mausoleum in Phoenix, Ariz. February 22 
for Mrs. Gertrude S. Wellman, 76, of 60 College NE. Grand Rapids, who died 
Thursday at St. Joseph hospital in Phoenix where she was spending the winter 
months.

Mrs. Wellman, a former resident of Palo, was born in Paducah, Ky., September 
24, 1887, the daughter of Will and Sallie Payne Scott, and had resided in Grand 
Rapids the past 20 years.

Mrs. Wellman was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church of Grand Rapids.

Surviving are her husband, Grover C. Wellman of Grand Rapids; two daughters, 
Mrs. Harold McGrath and Mrs. Donald Golden of Phoenix; one son, William J. 
Wellman of Grand Rapids, and six grandchildren.

Burial was at the Greenwood mausoleum in Phoenix.
