Ruth V. Wells, 85, of Ionia passed away Feb. 11, 2011. She was born Jan. 28, 
1926 in Ionia the daughter of Sidney and Vivian (Salyer) Pinkston. She married 
Vernon Wells in 1980, he preceded her in death in 2011.

Ruth was always busy and loved to read and crochet.

She is survived by her children, Pam (Rich) Westbrook of Wyoming, and Roger 
Wedderburn of Ionia; brothers Duaine (June) Pinkston of Portland, Shelby 
(Marcie) Pinkston of Lake Odessa; sister Genevive Hanline of McBride; 
grandchildren, Bruce (Lisa) Westbrook of Ohio, Katrina Westbrook of Wyoming and 
Casey (Ashley) Wedderburn of Greenville; and great Grandchildren Alec, 
Courtney, Nicole, Bella and Calob.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nola, Thelma and Star Ann; 
and brothers Bruce and Sidney Allen.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Bishop Garth Aamodt officiating. Interment Balcom Cemetery in the spring. 
Visitation will be held noon Thursday until the time of services at the funeral 
home.
