Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 am for Mrs. Annie E. Wells, 82, 708 
Branch Street, Ionia, who died Monday afternoon at Taylor Convalescent home in 
Belding where she had been a patient several weeks.  The service will be at St. 
Johns Episcopal church with Rev. Raymond Bierlein officiating and interment 
will be in Highland Park Cemetery. 

Mrs. Wells was born in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, December 7, 1884, the 
daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Breckon.  She came to the United States in 1906 
and was married to Henry T. Wells who preceded her in death in 1952.  She was a 
member of St. Johns Episcopal church and the Women of the Moose

Mrs. Wells is survived by one son, Raymond B. Wells of Belding, a daughter, 
Mrs. Gladys Hall of Howell; three grandchildren, a brother, Russell Breckon of 
Ionia and a step-sister, Mrs. Grace Chapman of Grand Rapids.  One son William 
died in 1929.  The body will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
