Joyce L. Wells, 51, of Portland, died on Saturday in Portland.  She was born
October 3, 1940, in Charlotte, the daughter of Hollis and Dorothy Yuncker Luce.
 She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  She owned and operated JR’s
Party Haus in Portland eight years.

She is survived by her husband Richard; two daughters, Laura Willemin of
Sheridan and Kris Murphy of Lansing; five grandchildren; four brothers; and four
sisters.

The family will be at the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel, Portland, on Tuesday
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Visitation will begin at 9 a.m.  The Rosary
will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the chapel.  Funeral mass will be held
Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Portland, with the Rev.
Mark Przybysz officiating.  Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.
