December 3, 2025 Excerpts from Belding Obituary RICHARD A. WELLS Died Sunday, November 23, 2025-age 91. Born April 25, 1934, youngest of three sons of Raymond & Cyneth (Brown) Wells. Dick was born in Belding, MI & raised in Belding & graduated from Belding High School. Following High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He spent seven years in the Navy & was educated as a Corpsman. He used his education to become a Medical Technologist in Laboratory Sciences. On July 1, 1963 he moved his family back to Michigan from Waukegan,Ill. He became the Laboratory Manager at Sheridan Community Hospital, practicing there for over 30 years. When he retired in 2000, he & Barb became full time RVers & traveled all over the country for nearly 11 years, where Barb worked numerous jobs as a traveling Laboratory Technologist, before ending up at Avon Park, Florida. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Barb Wells; children, Deb (Dale) Carnahan, Cindy (Pat) Train, Julie (Garrett) Black, Denise (Stefano) Nuculovic, David (Kate) Evers, Greg (Kimberly)Evers, Tracey Evers; grandchildren, Melissa Lockhart, Cassie Fletcher, Alycia Duthler, Jeffray Wells,Steven Wells, Katie Wells, Sarah Train, Cari Black, Amber Hopkins, Brad Wells, Brent Wells, Aubrey Dargitz, Jillian Allor, Nicole Evers, Emily Eers, Jake Evers, Shaelyn Miller, Michael Smitt & Lisa Woody, 24 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kaylene Wells; & many other relatives & friends. Preceded in death by his parents, infant children, Steven & Pamela Wells; adult sons, Brian Wells & Jeffray Wells, infant grandson, Ryan Weller; brothers, Robert & Tom Wells; daughters-in-law, Michelle Wells & Paula Wells. A Celebration of Life for Richard will take place at Hurst Funeral Home on Friday, December 5,2025 at 1PM. Visitation from 11AM to 1PM prior to service. The family invites guest to join them for a luncheon & time of fellowship following the service in the Hurst Celebration Center.
