Sharon Wells, 60, of Saranac, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, in Grand
Rapids.  She was born Oct. 26, 1937, in Detroit, the daughter of John and
Marguerite (McIntosh) O’Brien.  She went on to marry Wayne Wells on Nov. 9,
1957, in Grand Rapids.  He survives her in Saranac.  She was a member of St.
Anthony’s Church.

She is survived by her mother, Marguerite O’Brien of Florida; sons, Michael
Wells of Saranac and Gregory And Sheila Wells of California; daughters, Rita and
Dave McWhinney of Saranac, Brenda and Jeff Goodwin of Ionia, Janine and Don
Johnson of Grandville, Danielle and Gary Gornish of Lowell; brothers, Donald
O’Brien of Grand Rapids, Patrick O’Brien of California, Mark and Maricel O’Brien
of California; sister, Denise O’Brien of Cedar Springs; and 13 grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her father, John, and brothers, John Jr. and Eugene.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11 a.m. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic
Church in Saranac with the Rev. Norbert Leyrita as celebrant.  Interment will be
in Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac where a Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
