Welsh, former Hubbardston resident were held from St. John the Baptist Catholic church at Hubbardston Wednesday morning at 10. Rev. E. R. Fox, pastor of the church officiated, with interment being made in the church cemetery. Mr. Welsh passed away Sunday at 8:15 at Ionia County Memorial hospital after suffering a heart attack. He had been in failing health the past three years. Born in North Plains township, Ionia county, March 30, 1888, he had spent most of his life around Hubbardston. He had been employed at the Ionia Manufacturing Co. the past 17 years and had lived at Ionia the past 15 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Doris Marion, Mrs. Barbara Jeffrey and Mrs. Mary Lou Shiels; and two sons, Harold and William, all of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and Matt of Hubbardston, and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Dailey of Palo, Mrs. Marie McCrackin of Carson City, and Mrs. Eva Burns of Hubbardston.
