Ionia Daily Standard, 5 & 6 Mar 1908

John A. Welton died at 3 o’clock this morning.  He has been in failing health
over a year, and in critical condition since Jan. 1.  His age was 40 and he was
the eldest child and only son of Wm. Welton, long a resident of this city.  He
leaves a wife, formerly Miss Molley Risley, and one child, a daughter 5 or 6
yrs. old.  He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Bert Allen of Grand Rapids, and Miss
Anna of this city.  Funeral announcements later.

The funeral of John W. Welton will take place from Catholic church,, tomorrow
morning, at 9 o’clock.

Members of the Eagles are summoned to assemble at their hall at 8:15 o’clock
tomorrow morning, to attend the funeral of Brother John W. Welton.
