Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 23 Jun 1943

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Wendland, 70, were held at the St. John’s 
Evangelical Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock following prayer 
services at the residence on Hill street at 2 o’clock.  Rev. R. A. Rook 
officiated and burial was in Highland Park cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herman Pinnow, Peter Dichm, Fred Ruehs, Oto Ruehs, Oscar 
Schumann and H. J. Tafel.

Relatives who attended services from away were William Wendland of Muskegon 
Heights, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lemmin of Augusta and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ruehs of 
Lansing.
