Ionia Daily Sentinel – Fri. Feb. 1, 1907

The funeral for Walter, the seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendland, who 
died Monday at the home north of the city, was largely attended yesterday from 
St. John’s Lutheran church, Rev. Succop officiating. The pallbearers were: 
Herman Jahnke, Harry Heitman, Erwin Redemsky, Walter Meisling and William 
Speckin, school-mates of the deceased. The ailment was pneumonia. Interment is 
Highland Park cemetery.
