Wennberg, 75, died Wednesday at his home at Slayton lake, route one, Belding, where he had been a resident since 1960. He lived at route three, North State road, Ionia, from 1945 to 1960. Mr. Wennberg was born February 14, 1891 in Karslkrona, Sweden and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Wennberg. An employee of the Michigan State reformatory machine shop as an instructor he was formerly employed at Oliver Farm Equipment company of Battle Creek. He was married to Thelma Jennings in 1921 at Marshall. He was a former member of Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and two enlistment in the U.S. army and a veteran of World War I; a member of Battle Creek F&AM and 32nd degree Mason, DeWitt Clinton Consistory of Grand Rapids and a member of D.A.V. Mr. Wennberg is survived by his wife Thelma and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Fuller, Westminster, Calif. and Mrs. Paul Steiner of San Francisco, Calif. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home followed by services at C.J. Farley funeral home in Battle Creek at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
