Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 May 2002

Geraldine I. Wentworth, 75, of Ionia passed away May 25, 2002 at her home.  She 
was born July 8, 1926 in Ionia, the daughter of Luman and Louise (Breck) 
Groce.  She would go on to marry Earl Wentworth Aug. 10, 1947 in Diamondale.  
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and an active member of 
the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary.
	
She is survived by her children, Wayne L. (Sandy) Wentworth of Grand Ledge, 
Unafern E. (Darrell) Curtis of Ionia, Marlla M. (Doug) Hull of Zeeland, David 
E. (Tricia) Wentworth of Zeeland, Warren T. (Gwen) Wentworth of Ionia, Darrell 
G. (Geriann) Wentworth of Virginia, Kevin S. Wentworth of Grand Rapids, Cullen 
W. (Claire) Wentworth of England, Aaron C. (Brandy) Wentworth of Texas, Kyle P. 
(Kristine) Wentworth of Zeeland; foster children Joel G. (Linda) Zeigler of 
Illinois, Valorie J. Norris of Grand Ledge and Rosette M. Norris of Hastings; 
brothers, Zack (Bonnie) Groce and Joe Groce; 34 grandchildren; and 10 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1997; one sister, Elaine 
Hunt; brothers Luman and LeRoy Groce.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul Church in 
Ionia with Rev. Mel Fox officiating.  Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia where a Scriptural Rosary Service will be held at 8:15 p.m.  Anyone 
wishing to make memorial contributions to SS. Peter and Paul.
