Ionia County News, 27 Mar 1924

Louis Werner, 68, Pewamo, died on Wednesday morning about five o’clock from the 
effects of paralysis.  He had been ill only a short time.  He was one of the 
most highly respected citizens of the village and was a retired farmer, having 
lived in town for the past ten years.

He was born in Germany and came to this country when 11 years old.  He resided 
in Ionia county nearly all his lifetime.  The funeral announcement will be made 
later.

He is survived by his widow and seven children: Mrs. William Davern, Pewamo; 
Mrs. Gregory Miller, Carson City; Mrs. Lyle Boardman, Detroit; Beno, Conrad and 
Mrs. Frank Smith of Pewamo; Edwin Werner, who lives near Fowler.
