Ionia Sentinel  - 15 December 1942
Mrs. Sarah Summ Werner, 76, died Monday evening  at 11 o'clock at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Anderson of Berwyn, Ill.  She was born in Lowell, the 
daughter of J. George and Barbara Summ and came to Ionia with her parents when a 
small child. 

She was married to Edward  Werner of Dubuque, Iowa and the couple had made their 
home in Dubuque and Chicago for many years.  Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Emma Fagin, of Berwyn; 
a sister, Miss Etta Summ; a niece, Mrs. Elsie Boltz and many other nieces and 
nephews in Chicago.

The body will arrive in Ionia  Friday morning and services will be held at the 
Myers funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. George Woolcock of the 
First Baptist church will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
