The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tues. April 22, 2003
John J. Werner, 90, of Pewamo passed away April 18, 2003 in Ionia.  He was 
born June 17, 1912 the son of John and Rose (Frechen)Werner.

He would go on to marry Clara Morgan on June 3, 1961.  He was a farmer and 
also worked at the Fowler Elevator for many years before retiring.  He was 
preceded in death by his parents; his wife Clara in 1980, brother Bill Werner; 
and sister Lena Knoop.  He is survived by his step son Dave Kohagen of Belding 
and step-grandchildren Crystal and Amber.  

Visitation was held Monday at the Lake Funeral Home in Muir.  Funeral services 
are 1 p.m. today at the Lake Funeral Home in Muir.  Interment at East Plains 
Cemetery.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Heartland Health 
Care Center.
