The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 7, 1946
Mrs. Jennie Elizabeth Werner, 87, lifelong resident of Ionia county, died 
Sunday night at the Camp Convalescent home in Belding.  She suffered a stroke 
14 weeks ago.  She is survived by her husband, Joseph Werner; a son, C. J. 
Werner, of Lansing; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Thompson, Ionia; three brothers, 
Cade Ayers of Belding, Dean Ayers of North Baltimore, Ohio, and Jack of 
Saranac; and one sister, Mrs. Augusta Cooper of Belding.

She is a lifelong resident of Ionia county, and lived near Belding for 45 
years.  She and her husband has observed their 50th wedding anniversary 
September 20.  Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Ellis 
funeral home in Belding with the Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating.  Burial will be 
at the Otisco cemetery.
