Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat. February 10, 2024

               WERNER

Gerald "Jerry" Werner (some also knew him as Butch) suddenly passed away January 
30, 2024 in Apache Junction, AZ. He was born October 30, 1944 to Louis and 
Annebelle Werner. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Nancy whom he was 
married to for 57 years, his daughters Tami an Angela, sisters,Kay Conner and 
Marlene Chartrand.

He is survived by daughter Michelle Werner, grandchildren Seth (Kayla) Ruid, 
Kaitlyn Ruid, Karly Ruid, great-grandchildren, Octavia, Jaxon, Mila and River, 
sisters, Rose (Glenn) Smejkal. Alice (Dick) Foreback, Jane Emelander, Mary 
(Kenn) Swick.

Jerry served in the U.S. Army from February 14, 1963, promoted to Sgt.September 
20, 1965 and honorably discharged February 7, 1966. He retired after working 35 
years at TRW in Portland and was also a farmer.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed 
woodworking while spending winters in Arizona with Nancy.

Celebration of Life will be announced and held early Spring.
