He was born in Trier, Germany, in 1825. He was married in 1851 and three years later came to New York, remaining there two years, when they moved to Indiana, where they resided about one year. From there they came here, purchasing from the government the farm he owned at the time of his death. For several years he has been troubled with a cancer on his lower lip, which caused his death. he leaves an aged wife, three sons and two daughters to mourn his demise. The funeral services were held from the Catholic church, Tuesday, Rev. J.T. Muer officiating. Smyrna – Mr. Nicholas Warner of Miriam died Saturday, March 24th of cancer. He was an old man and has suffered a long time.
