Ionia Sentinel - 16 September 1965
Funeral mass for Mrs. Margaret Wernette, 65, of 530 East Main Street, Saranac was 
celebrated at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning  at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church.  
The Rev. Fr. Paul Johnson sang the mass.  Mrs. Wernette died Sunday in a Grand 
Rapids hospital.

Bearers were Richard Steele, John Ryor, Paul Stamen, Jr., Oval Leonard, Robert 
Taylor and Eugene Scheid.  Interment was at Balcom cemetery.

Out of town relatives and friends were from Leesburg, Ind., Pontiac, Detroit, 
Jackson, Grand Rapids, Grattan, Saranac, Belding and Battle Creek.
