The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, July 2, 1969


Word was received Tuesday morning by Mrs. Edward Wieczorek of Ionia of the 
death of her sister, Mrs. Nilah Wernette of Remus.  Mer. Wernette died Tuesday 
morning at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been a patient 
for a month.  She had lived most of her life in Remus.

Surviving besides her husband Roy, are four sons, LeRoy, Jerry, Thane and 
Alfred; two daughters, Mrs. Imelda Thome of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Marilyn 
Witzell; five sisters, Mrs. Edward Wieczorek of Ionia, Mrs. Majil Everest of 
Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Lucille Lance of Pontiac, Mrs. Wahneta Webster of 
Portland, Mrs. Rhoda Davis of Greenville; four brothers, Paul Nicholas of 
Greenville, Jay of Lincoln Lake, O. B. Nichols of Gowan and Maxwell Nichols of 
Greenville.

Funeral services are not yet competed.
