Greenville Daily News - Thursday, Aug. 7, 1952

Perry D. Werts died at United Memorial Hospital yesterday at the age of 93 
after a five week illness.

He was born in Preble County, O., Feb . 23, 1859, and has been a resident of 
Greenville for the past five years. He operated a photographic studio in 
Belding for many years, and was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Maggie; two step-daughters, Mrs. Clarence Potter of 
Lyons, and Mrs. John Peck of Belding; three step-sons, Frank Davenport of 
Portland; Ralph of Goodrich and Royal of Greenville; 12 grandchildren and five 
great-grandchildren.

Service will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. Reverend 
William Todd of Grand Rapids officiating. Interment will be in Tuttle cemetery, 
Ionia.
