Lyons Herald, 26 Jan 1911

Mrs. Isaac West, aged 68 and totally blind, while fixing the fire caught her 
clothing afire.  She ran outside to a pump where neighbors saw her and helped to 
put out the flames.  She received many severe burns which it is feared may prove 
fatal.  Later – Mrs. West died Wednesday evening from her injuries.  The funeral 
will be held Friday afternoon at her late home.
