The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, May 4, 1932

Mrs. Nellie West, 67, who resided at 705 West Washington street, died 
Wednesday morning from an illness that started three weeks ago with 
influenza.  Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral chapel 
Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

She was married in 1906, her husband, John D. West, surviving.  She also 
leaves a brother, Thomas Crouch, of Grand Rapids, and a half-brother at 
Wayland.
