MRS. CARRIE WEAT
MUIR -  Muir's oldest resident, Mrs.Carrie M. West, 97, died unexpectedly Thursday
evening at the Ionia Manor. She would have observed her 98th birthday Sunday.

She was born December 7, 1877 in North Plains township, the daughter of Frank and
Mary. Greenhoe Conner. In 1898 she was married to George West, who died in 1929.

She was a member of the Muir Presbyterian church and the Evergreen chapter of Lyons
Order of Eastern Star.

She was the last remaining charter member of the Christian Endeavor society which
was founded in Muir and now is a world wide organization.

Surviving is a step-daughter Mrs. Ethel Struble of Muir.

Services will be conducted Sunday at 3 pm at the Hull memorial chapel in Muir.
Interment will be at the Muir cemetery.
