Ionia Sentinel Standard - Monday April 23, 1973

                                MRS.HAZEL O.WEST

SARANAC - Mrs.hazel West, 82, of route 2, Belding, formerly of Saranac died 
Saturday at Ionia County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born November 2, 1890 at Gowan the daughter of George and Myrtle 
Peasley. She had lived in Grand Rapids moving to Saranac where she lived 20 
years, the past four years with her daughter on Johnson road, Belding.

Her husband, Wilbur West preceded her in death in 1956.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.Beatrice Veltman Emelander of Belding; eight 
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; half 
brother Kenneth Peasley of Vestaburg.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm at Morris-Roetman Funeral Home in
Saranac. Rev.James Frank will officiate and interment will be at Otisco 
Cemetery.
