C. Margaret Westbrook, age 84, of Ionia, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in 
Ionia.  She was born July 9, 1921 in Ionia the daughter of Ralph and Florence 
(Burrows) Moore.  She married Thomas R. Westbrook March 30, 1946 in Ionia.  
Margaret worked for many years at Ionia County Court House.  She was a member 
of Zion United Methodist Church and was an Extension Leader for 4-H.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Thomas R. Westbrook of Ionia, 
son, Thomas and Carolyn Westbrook of Saranac, daughter Ruth and Joseph Merrell 
III of Spring Lake; sisters Evelyn Waters of Ionia, Geraldine and Dr. Warren 
VanHetloo of Zeeland; grandchildren Megan and Michael Zambiasi of Spring Lake, 
Keisha Westbrook of Grand Rapids; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Stephen and Kyle.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Lyons Muir Church with Pastor 
Don Graham officiating.  Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.  The family will 
receive friends and relatives Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.  You may make memorial contributions in Margaret’s name to Zion United 
Methodist Church, Heartland Hospice or Green Acres Retirement Village.
