Katherine (Katie) Westbrook, 15, of Pittsburgh, Penn., passed away Sunday, June
3, 2001, after a long courageous bought with cancer.  She was born June 2, 1986,
in Indianapolis, the daughter of Shawn and Elisabeth (Walker) Westbrook.  She
passed away just hours before she was to receive her honorary law degree from
Duquesne University, which was her lifelong dream.

Surviving are her parents; her brother, Sean Andrew; her sister, Kerry Anne;
grandparents, Harvey Walker and Lillian Cools Walker; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at noon, Friday at Balcom Cemetery with Rev.
Marty Culver of First United Methodist Church, in Ionia, presiding.  Anyone
wishing may make memorial contributions to Katie Westbrook and Friends Cancer
Research Fund, Children Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Local arrangements Lake Funeral
Home in Ionia.
