Born in Sebewa township, Ionia county, June 11, 1890, she was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Smith Coe. She attended rural schools graduated from Portland High school also Ypsilanti normal and taught rural schools. June 3, 1916 she was married to Mark Westbrook and they have lived on their present farm since. A member of Muir Presbyterian church she belonged to its Women’s organization, also the Ronald grange, Nickleplate Extension club and Farm Bureau. Surviving besides the husband, Mark, are three sons, Thomas and Robert of Ionia and George of Jasper, Michigan, two daughters, Mrs. Wilfred Bird of Belding and Mrs. Colin Williams of Saranac; 18 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday 2 p.m. at Muir Presbyterian church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Westbrook will be at Shaw- Hull home until noon Saturday.
