C. 1913 DOD: Sunday, 27 July 1913 Belding Banner – Thursday, 31 July 1913 Mrs. A. C. Westcott, wife of George Westcott, died at the home of his father Ira on Pearl Street, Sunday afternoon at five o’clock. Mrs. Westcott had been suffering from a cancer for about a year and a half. They lived at Grand Rapids where he was employed at the Macey Company. About five weeks ago they came to the parent’s home, to make it more comfortable for her. Mrs. Westcott was thirty three years of age. Her old home was at Lakeview, where she lived when married. She leaves a husband, two children, a boy 12 and girl of six years, besides a sister living at Lakeview. Funeral services were held at the residence on Pearl Street, Wednesday at two o’clock. Rev. Edrie Collins officiated. Burial at River Ridge Cemetery. Deceased has been a kind and helpful wife and mother. She was of frail constitution for several years, but gained in health after marriage until attacked by the malady that caused her death. The loss will be heavy both to the husband and children as well as a host of friends in this city and Lakeview.
