The funeral for Mrs. Katherine Westfall, who died Saturday morning, was held 
from the M.E. church Monday at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Kruse, pastor of 
the Ionia M.E. church.  Mrs. Westfall had been in her usual good health until 
one week before her death, when she was taken sick on Saturday and as she had 
lived alone since the death of her husband who died December, 1909, she was 
moved to the home of Harry Ritsmiller Sunday morning where she was cared for 
during her illness. She, with her husband, came to Michigan from New York 
about 45 years ago, he being a member of Company I, Third New York Light 
Artillery.  She was a faithful member of the M.E. church, a kind neighbor and 
highly respected by all who knew her.  She leaves only a distant cousin in the 
east but a host of friends to mourn her loss.
