Mrs. Rosemary L. Westover, 82, of Ionia, went to be with her Lord Friday, May 
2, 2003.  She was born the daughter of Albert F. and Grace C. Schieble May 16, 
1920.  She graduated from SS Peter & Paul Academy in 1937.  In 1941 she 
graduated from Mercy College of Nursing.  She began her nursing career working 
for the Detroit Department of Health.  The majority of her nursing career was 
spent at Ionia County Memorial Hospital where she worked until her retirement 
as Director of Nursing Services in December of 1978.

She married Jack Westover on April 28, 1939.  She was a member of SS Peter & 
Paul Catholic Church, Ionia Literary Club, SSPP Rosary Society, Hale Guild and 
past president of the Ionia County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband Jack; one daughter Judith (Gerald) Rich of Lyons; a 
son James (Jean) Westover, of Ionia; four grandchildren, Neil Rich, Alycia 
Rich Nash, Linette Westover and Colette Rich; three great-grandsons, two great-
granddaughters; and one brother Dr. Jack (Margaret) Schieble of Orinda, 
California.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard, 
and her daughter Diane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 at SS Peter & 
Paul Catholic Church with Father Mel Fox celebrating.  Interment will be in 
Mount Olivet Cemetery.  Visitation is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 
Sunday at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rosary will be Sunday at 8 p.m.  

Memorials may be given to SS Peter & Paul School Trust Fund or to Ionia Area 
Hospice.  Arrangements by Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel.
