Henry L. Wetherbee
IONIA - Henry L. Wetherbee, 78, of Ionia died Thursday, July 27, 1995 at his home.

He was born the son of Frank and Julia (Potter) Wetherbee on Nov. 20, 1916 in
Portland. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Anna Emelander on July 19,
1936. He worked for Peski Meat Packing Co. in Ionia for 33 years. He then worked for 12
years at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.

Surviving are his wife, Anna ; son Larry (Carol) Wetherbee of Ionia; daughter
Beverly (Edward) Cusack, of Mulliken; sisters; Alice Kauffman and Bertha Emelander, both of
Ionia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four
brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia,
with Rev. F. Michael Valentine of the First Christian Church of Ionia officiating.
Interment will be at Balcom Cemetery.

Visiting hours are from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Cook Funeral home in
Ionia. Memorial contributions should be made for the wishes of the Wetherbee Family.
