Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday March 18, 1976

Services Held for Marvin Weygandt
Marvin C. Weygandt, 52, Jackson road, Lake Odessa, passed away Friday afternoon, 
March 12 at St. Anthony's Hospital at Michigan City, Ind.

He was severely injured in a truck accident January 15 and had been hospitalized 
there but had spent three weeks at home. He returned to the hospital last Sunday 
where he under went more surgery last Thursday.

He was born at Muskegon, February 2, 1924, the son of Arden and Faye (Sells) 
Weygandt and came with his parents to the Lake Odessa area in 1932 when he was 
eight years old. He had also lived in Maryland during 1949-50.

Mr. Weygandt was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Army and 
stationed at Fort Sheridan, ILL.

He married Joan Rossetter on December 28 1949 at Lake Odessa. A truck driver for 
29 years he was last employed by the All American trucking Company.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Marvin C. Jr.; five daughters Mrs.Connie Darling, 
Cathy Ann, Anita Louise, Jean Ellen and Tami Jo; a daughter-in-law, Mrs.Barbara 
Ann Weygandt and four grandchildren of Lake Odessa; three brothers, Earl of 
Palo, ILL, Max of N.Myrtle beach, South Carolina and George of Big Rapids; two 
sisters, Mrs.Fred (Carol) VanVleck of Potterville and Mrs.Rodney (Margaret) 
Duvall fo Damascus, Md.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at 1:30. 
Rev. Charles Dunbar and Rev. Roger Sherman of Nappanee, Ind., officiated with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
