Wheaton, 75, of 530 Main St., Saranac, died Sunday in Ionia Manor. Born in Keene Township Nov. 19, 1907, she was the daughter of Edwin and Mary McKelvey Potter. She lived in Saranac most of her life. She was a life member of Rebekah Lodge in Saranac, and also of Royal Neighbors. She was married to Ralph Wheaton July 5, 1928, in Indiana. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Marie) Prevost of Jackson; one grandson; one brother, Edwin B. Potter of Saranac; two sisters, Mrs. Celia Boss of Lowell and Mrs. Gordon (Mary Ann) Hoddinott of Ohio. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, with the Rev. Edwin Mendenhall officiating. Burial will be in Pinckney Cemetery, Saranac. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. A memorial for the Multiple Sclerosis Society has been established in care of the funeral home.
