Wheeler died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Albert Cusser, Saturday night. He had been visiting here for a few days since his partial recovery from a run of typhoid fever, which followed a stroke of paralysis last July. Mr. Wheeler had been up and around and down town during the day and in the evening enjoyed a visit with the family and friends. About 11 o’clock and before retiring he was stricken with paralysis and passed away in a very short time, just two months from the day of his mother’s death. He was born October 30, 1848, on the old farm in Orleans, which his father took up from the government, being the second child of a family of six children, five surviving. He was 72 years old. The funeral service was held at the Orleans residence, at 10:30 o’clock a.m. where a large number of neighbors and friends came to pay their last respects to a good citizen gone. Rev. I. S. Bussing officiated. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/w/wheeler10982nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
