Ionia Standard, 7 Mar 1890

Orleans – Mrs. Caroline Wheeler, relict of the late Warner Wheeler, died at the 
residence of her son, William Wheeler, on the morning of March 1st.  Mr. and 
Mrs. Warner Wheeler were pioneers of the township, coming here about the year 
1844.  The funeral was held at Green’s church Sunday afternoon and was attended 
by a large concourse of sympathizing friends and neighbors.  She leaves a 
family of three sons and five daughters and quite a number of grandchildren to 
mourn her.  Strange as it may seem this is the third burial from the same house 
within three weeks; first the infant child of William Wheeler, next his wife 
and now his mother.
