(Teaker) Wheeler was born on the 24th of March, 1848 in Hancock county, Ohio. She removed with her parents to Kosciusco county, Ind., while in her infancy, where she resided until she was about the age of nineteen, when she came to Michigan. Here she lived until the day of her death, which occurred on the 21st. inst. She was married in the 21st year of her age to William T. Wheeler of Orleans, to whom she was a faithful and devoted wife the remainder of her days. She experienced religion when about fifteen years of age, and united with the Methodist Episcopal church, where she belonged until she came to Michigan. She then joined the United Brethren, where she remained a faithful member until God took her to her home above. She died a very happy, peaceful death. There are left behind, a husband and three children, the eldest of whom is about ten, the next six, and the youngest about two years of age, to mourn her death. Her funeral services were conducted by C.L. Lambertson, the F.M. pastor of Orleans, in Green’s church on Sunday.
