Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 7 Mar 1955

Mrs. Emma Wheeler, 79, died Saturday evening about 10 o’clock at Eckert Nursing
Home where she had been a patient since January 24.  She was born August 5,
1875, in Montcalm township, Montcalm county, the daughter of William Drier and
Caroline Lorenz.

Mrs. Wheeler at one time lived in Ionia and had been making her home with her
sister, Mrs. Phena Roberts, on Route 2, Fenwick.  She also had lived in
Fairplains township in Montcalm county.  In 1900 she was married to William
Wheeler who died in 1919.  She was a member of O.E.S. of Greenville.

Surviving besides her sister, Mrs. Roberts, is one brother, William Drier of
Route 2, Greenville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Stebbins
funeral home in Sheridan.  Interment will be at Fairplains cemetery.
